July 4th Events Flyer
The July 4th festivities at the pool will consist of just the events, there will not be a barbeque or the opportunity to purchase food.
We will be holding events at the pool on July 4th from 11am – 5pm.
The scavenger hunt, face painting, and tie-dye (bring your own items) will be available from 11am – 5pm.
The annual Diving Board Contest will begin at 12pm. The categories are Best Dive, Best Belly Flop, Biggest Splash, and Coolest Trick. Each category will be split into three groups: Kids (12 and under), Teens (13-19), and Adults (20 and above). There will be prizes available for the winners of each category.
At 2pm will be the burlap sack race and the three-leg race.
At 4pm will be the water balloon toss.
We will finish off the day with rounds of Bingo at 5pm.
Over the winter we switched to a new check-in system and unfortunately not all the barcodes for the photo IDs transferred over. We encourage all members who haven’t used their ID cards since last summer or whose cards aren’t scanning properly to stop by the office so that staff can test the cards and correct the issue if needed.
It’s now easier than ever to book a swim lane for lap swimming! To book a swim lane, go to the Pool tab and scroll past the photo of the child swimming. You’ll see the option to book a reservation by the swim lane, starting with the chosen day and then the time. You can book a maximum of 2 hours per day and book 48 hours in advance. Reservations can only be made after the current reservation has been completed. The office will monitor all reservations and will cancel any reservation that does not follow the rules. Reservations can still be made in person and over the phone.
Beginning on Saturday, May 28th there will be gate hosts down at the beach to check members in. You must present your Dollar Point ID card to the gate host for access to the beach and the pool. Please remember that the cardholder must be present, using another member’s card without that member being present will not work. All ID cards from past years are still valid. If a card is having trouble scanning, bring it by the office where we can fix the issue. If you do not have an ID card, swing by the office to get one made!
As we’re gearing up for summer, we’re still looking to hire Lifeguards and Gate Hosts. If your child or grandchild is looking for a summer job, send them our way! Below are the job descriptions to read through and an application to fill out. Completed applications can be emailed to info@dollarpoint.org, mailed to P.O. Box 1490, Tahoe City, CA 96145, or handed in at the office.
We’re looking forward to another great summer!
