Committee Annual Reports – Firewise, Website Available

Committees drive our community.  Communication of committee results improves community transparency.  During the recent annual meeting several members expressed interest in committee annual reports.  Specifically, posting annual reports on the committee website pages for all members to review.  The following reports are now posted for member review.  The intent is to provide a quick, one page report of accomplishments over the past year.

Your Election Packet was mailed to you last week and included the McClintock Financial Statement. In the meantime, please review the enclosed documents as there are items that require your attention.

Please note, there is a 2021 Proxy Ballot enclosed. The Board recommends you complete and sign Proxy A and vote for its recommended slate of 3 candidates on the back. Candidates are Pamela Galy and Scott Rodda, incumbents, and James Donahue,  an attorney who has the background and experience to speak to the many legal issues that can arise in a non-profit such as ours and who can act as a liaison for the association on matters where outside counsel has been retained. The three candidate statements are enclosed herein.

Please also note, we are serving a nice dinner following the meeting, catered by Fox and Hound, a Tahoe restaurant since 1991. We hope you will enjoy this delicious meal. Reservations are requiredYour packet contains a 2021 Buffet Form which must be returned by July 26th but the caterer would very much appreciate it if you return the reservation form at your earliest convenience.

Thanks to all! We are looking forward to seeing you at the meeting.

Defensible Space Cleanup – Do You Need Help?

Firewise – Thank You for Donations to Date

Many thanks to our members who made donations to fund our Firewise projects in 2021.  In the last 45 days we have received $1855.  This is significant progress to close the gap.

If you missed the announcement in February, please consider making a donation today.

In 2020 the DPA Board made the dumpster days, hydrant painting and Firewise signage possible by allocating funding toward these projects to reduce fire risk in Dollar Point. For 2021 the DPA board has increased the Firewise funding allocation 70%. However, the amount will not meet the projected expenses for this year. The Board has asked that we request member donations and continue to apply for funding grants to help offset the increasing costs.

The Firewise committee is asking for donations to help fund 2021 Firewise projects that reduce wildfire risk to your home and DPA facilities. Please consider a $20, $50 or other amount to help keep Dollar Point fire safe.

See the Firewise Donation PDF for instructions on how to donate.

Many thanks from the Firewise Committee!
